L.R. Crow's Corner of Shadow & Sin

L.R. Crow weaves hauntingly beautiful tales where love and darkness collide. Specializing in dark romance, Horror, Poetry, Psychological Thrillers, and morally gray characters, Crow’s stories blur the line between villain and hero, passion and obsession, fairytale and nightmare.

With a love for gritty retellings and atmospheric worlds, Crow crafts narratives that pull readers into the shadows—where the stakes are deadly, the emotions raw, and the endings never guaranteed.

When not lost in Dark Hollow, Crow can be found obsessing over myths, sipping black coffee, and dreaming up new ways to break hearts—on and off the page.

Really enjoyed the way this book was set up. Had a great time reading it, and really liked the little details. I won't say more because SPOILERS.

This is the first book by the author and I'm giving it a ✨✨✨✨✨ review! This is a dark dark fairy tale retelling and the lines of good are definitely blurred... please check triggers because I figured it would be some dark with a hea and that's absolutely not the case. I feel for Pan, Wendy and Hook but they aren't definitely just good or bad more on the morally grey and lost. Pan has been through so much and you feel the trauma he has endured to your core... Wendy is a hopeful wish who doesn't seem to have a happy ending yet... Hook is lost but is he good or bad because he seems like he is going to do whatever it takes but is getting lost by Pan's endeavors along the way... the lost boys aren't who you think they are and oh my god I need more now! I needed it like yesterday... this is a very dark retelling with trauma and triggers but the fast pace keeps you going and yearning for more!

Lost Souls Lament is really an extremely dark Peter Pan retelling. Throughout the entire book, youre able to learn about the dark, traumatic, ab*sive past that shapes Peter Pan. My heart broke for Peter as he thought he had an amazing mom only to learn at such a young age that he did not and nothing would be the same. This book is mainly Peter’s life as a child and teenager, there are glimpses into who he will be as he becomes an adult. I did not think I had triggers but unfortunately this book hit a few and I was not able to finish it 🥲. I am rating it a 5 star because it’s a well written and very detailed book that’s worth the read but do check your triggers before continuing it ❤️
